| Update! So we've got in touch with our business team and we've got a great jump start in January to work out our approach for the next 12 months. We've touched base with our patent attourney/law firm for all the legalities; we'll see how this runs up. Hand-in-hand with this and manufacturing details overseas, we're pushing towards the NCIIA grant, as well, starting mid-January. We're charging up for Berkeley Trade Show on Dec. 14th and for the Denver, CO showing in May '08 also! FLARES (TM) Group has one helluva coming year and future! | So we did it--our first trade show in San Jose today...against 70+ challenging contestants from 3 universities. We took home the top title of the Silicon Valley Neat Ideas entreprenuership competition: the HP Social Innovation Award 2007!!!! We get the grant, the money, the funding, the prototyping funding, the business funding, the website, the HP sponsored logo and business lisences, and other things, along with the dinner with the heads of the competition organizers and sponsors. Most importantly this gives us huge leverage for the mid-December Berkeley trade show we'll be at; hunting for hungry investors with deep wallets to further support this current package! And of course, this is an immensely positive mark on my portfolio/resume/background in Industrial/Product Design!!! Honestly...I'm in total shock... ...wow... |
